NOT used for Korean food, although I spent a year+ there and love Korea and the food. Used this to replace a metal fireplace insert for a fountain to burn ethanol fireplace fuel. Had been using the OZOfire gel fuel before it got nuked by the CPSC. This can tolerate the heat and weather the conditions without having to worry about oxidation (rust) that ate my other temporary inserts that were used with the gel fuel. Main thing is that this can withstand the heat generated by burning a pure hydrocarbon fuel and does not require the frequent repair/replacement that steel containers did. The little plastic plate ("trivet") that came with this was an annoyance (even if I were to use it for food), but the bowl is a gem and well worth the money, whatever purpose you have in mind.Bowl was a lot smaller than I though when I bought it, but its really nice. The bowl itself is really nice quality however the base that supports the bowl seems really out of place.I got 2, one was broken when it arrived, so the 4-star rating.Otherwise its a perfect bowl for bibimbap.Perfect dolsot bowls for making jigaeBeen making amazing binimbap out of these bowls. They're a litle small as I'd like to pile in a ton of veggies but they work great. Just put them straight on the stove!!iIs okay, but when I got the package and opened it up, unwrapping the bubble wrap, the tray was basically cracked in half. i don't really recommend this. Disappointing.A+pot is just what Korean Wifey wanted. I need to check on a lid for this item though
