I initially purchased the smaller sibling of this rack This pot rack is very well made. It looks terrific in our kitchen (we have it hanging above the island). We have received numerous compliments on it from visiting friends. However, I have two complaints (and these are not a huge deal):-It is SUPER short. Be aware of this. Unless you have a VERY low ceiling (I'm talking like, less than 8 feet high) or unless you are a super tall person, then this pot rack will need some adjustments. We currently have ours rigged up with some string to get it a little lower off the ceiling so that I can actually reach the pots hanging from it. The hardware that it comes is only about, roughly a foot long, so it's only hanging about one foot from the ceiling (maybe a little more than that, but not much). Go ahead and order some extra hooks from this seller when you purchase this pot rack so you don't have to order them later when you start to install it and realize it is so short.-Secondly, they boast that it is hand crafted in Vermont, but all the metal hardware says 'Made in China.' That's ok, because that makes it more affordable, allowing people like me to purchase this product, but it's a little deceptive to say "Made in the USA" when that's not 100% true.Despite these things, this pot rack is so well-made, and looks so awesome, and we have received so many compliments, that I still highly recommend it. Don't settle for a cheap-looking one- this one is really good quality for the money. It's a beautiful, well-made rack and the wood is lovely, but...I just couldn't find a solution for hanging it that looked as nice as the rack, and I gave up and returned it. The picture leads one to believe that there is hardware as long as the rack itself included for hanging the rack. Very misleading!! - actually you get some short hooks that would only do the job with a very low ceiling, or a very tall person to reach the pots. I went to 3 hardware stores and couldn't find something aesthetic to hang it with. I tried chains but it looked awful. The eye-hooks provided for attaching it to the ceiling will only work if you have wood to screw into. Otherwise you'll need another kind of system, such as toggle bolts, to secure the rack to the ceiling. The place I needed to hang it only had wood on one side, and I couldn't find anything besides plant hooks for the end that went into drywall, which looked really hokey.Keep this in mind when making your purchase. Are you handy enough to rig it up? I thought I was! I've hung many-a-towel rack, built IKEA furniture, changed the innards of a toilet, and even wired and hung a ceiling fan. I did manage to hang the rack but without matching components, and didn't like the look. The rack should really come with a variety of things to hang it with for different heights of ceilings or attachment points THAT MATCH THE RACk!!We ordered a previous rack from a different company and had to send it back right after unpacking because of the poor craftsmanship! When we saw this one we decided to give it a go . Holy what a difference! Shes a beauty and she's really well built. We had to buy the turnbuckles as extensions from the hardware store and the hanging s clips are more meant for 16 inch ceiling joists and ares are 24 inches apart . But to be honest I like it even more like this . It holds all our pans including a wok and a cast iron one and doesn't feel at all like it's under too much weight . Highly recommendI have been looking at pot holders for awhile and found this one to be stylish and to not have too many ornaments. The size is perfect and the installation went well. Materials are great and it holds stuff on the top also. I did order a few more hooks as the end hooks are great for light stuff and there is room for one or two pots on the main rails.I's a nice quality product. It came with 8 hooks and we bough extra one we installed it because they were very functional the way they slide in the frame. You could add your own additional hooks to hang off the rack if preferred. Its a bit pricy but its solid wood.I like this pot hanger and would've given it 5 stars if the installation hardware were of better quality. The lag bolts were corroded and threads dull and worn out. Also, the hanging hooks are too short unless you have a rather low ceiling, so I just use them as extra hooks. I ended getting my own stainless steel hardware and chain to hang it up. The rack itself is nice! This pot rack is well-made and very nice to look at. I hand pots from the rack and have casserole pots above. Works great!
