Hopefully my kombucha turns out as it should, had to cut it in half to put in (2) I gallon jars. Heard that can kill a scoby.Wonderful Scoby!! Just as described!:)I personally was very impressed with the freshness and overall quality of the product and the packaging quality of the product within.I have been making 3-4 gallons of Booch for years now to the delight of friends and coworkers. I really liked the thicker look of this scoby but it is an epic FAIL. Don't believe I have ever encountered a weaker starter tea. Knew something was wrong when it was time for the second ferment. When I stirred the batch there was zero fizz. It barely developed a baby scoby film. Needless to say both the scoby and the tea went in the compost. When I purchased the product there was free returns now it isn't eligible. You can usually tell the quality of a product that doesn't allow returns or replacement. Save your money!!!I was worried since the scoby was on the small side and I was expecting more starter tea. The scoby worked great though and we’re on our third batch. It’s healthy and creating nice babies.This product comes very well packaged with clear instructions. It's been a week so really can't tell how well it worksMy scoby arrived quickly! Plenty of starter tea comes with scoby. I recvd 2 smaller scoby's each about 5'' across.I placed them both into their new home and within 24 hours they we are doing their thing....their scoby thing. Today is day 5 and they are growing like crazy! It wont be long before I can bottle my very first Kombucha!!I do recommend this company!!!! Healthy Scoby!!! Thank you.Big sized scoby! Mine was 5” in diameter with good thickness. The coffee filter with a rubber band included in the package are a nice plus. My best scoby purchase so far. Will see how the first batch turns out.Update: first batch came out great and a thick new scoby formed on top!Definitely recommend!!
